Set Your Intention

You have a chance every day to set the intention of how your day will unfold, before it randomly unpacks itself! 


How do you want to begin your new day? Does peace and ease sound like a good intention to set? Or are you going to just roll out and react to whatever comes your way? Sure, okay, that is a strategy, but it's not very comfortabl

You have a chance every day to set the intention of how your day will unfold, before it randomly unpacks itself! 


How do you want to begin your new day? Does peace and ease sound like a good intention to set? Or are you going to just roll out and react to whatever comes your way? Sure, okay, that is a strategy, but it's not very comfortable or enjoyable. We can be the captains of our own ship. We can choose how we will progress through our day, no matter what unfolds. 


When our day starts, we can take two seconds and ask our self how do we really want this new day to begin? I'd guess if we had our choice, we'd answer that we'd like it to be nice and easy. Go ahead and claim that! Make it so. Use these above brand new day hacks to create a calm and positive foundation for what we want for the start of our new day full of potential and possibility! Shut down our ego before it wakes up and let our souls guide us forward peacefully.


Remember - On tough days when your mood or body is reluctant to get on board for the opportunity and possibility of the new day unfolding before you, it really comes down to understanding that our less than zealous attitude is being supported by our stubborn willed ego that wants us to stay still, small, and contained. Our ego does a silent cheer when we play it very safe and don't want to venture off into the possibility of a new day to grow and become more of who we were born to be. All of that adventure threatens our ego. But our soul knows that the way through the less than great start to the day is to GO  THROUGH IT to get to the other side of the false narratives and old patterns we've practiced in the past. Letting our souls guide us allows us to get up and get going to move our bodies to unlock stuck and stagnant energy, release fears and worries, and  breathe in the new possibility every time we take a conscious step to reset our energy for the new day ahead. 

GET. OUT. SIDE.

Nature is an amazing resource waiting for us every day to reset our nervous systems and cleanse our energetic filters of any accumulated negativity. We can't help but feel better after going outside to get some fresh air. Outside is where we enter The Truth as Source made it. We reconnect with the sky, waters, earth, trees, plants, flora 

Nature is an amazing resource waiting for us every day to reset our nervous systems and cleanse our energetic filters of any accumulated negativity. We can't help but feel better after going outside to get some fresh air. Outside is where we enter The Truth as Source made it. We reconnect with the sky, waters, earth, trees, plants, flora and fauna that all exist perfectly in peace, love, and support for us. 


Whenever I feel overwhelmed by negative energy, I consciously choose to look up at the vast sky and my perspective changes. I purposely look for beauty and I find it everywhere, even in a resilient weed growing out of a sidewalk crack. Outside, I remember that I am not my problem, and I'm not the negative energy I picked up. But I AM part of this big nature ecosystem of Truth and Love. I can take slow deep belly breaths down to the bottom of my toes and relax in the comfort that nature provides. I can focus on listening to whatever bird calls or the sound of the wind in the trees. I can inhale deeply to smell the air around me. I can put my feet on the earth and ground my self into the Great Mother Earth, whose heartbeat will always connect us to the Truth that there is so much more than what is going on in our minds, our homes, at work, and in the world. 


There is this big green powerful nature reality waiting to cleanse my spirit. The promise of a peaceful existence lives outside in nature, no matter how small your slice of nature is in your world. Need some instant happier in your day? GET OUTSIDE where the shift is waiting.


Remember - At any point of any given day we can hit RESET. We can begin again as many times as is needed until we get it right. We aren't getting graded, nobody has to know, and no one is keeping score. 


If we never had daily practices in place before that fill our cups and sets the positive tone for the day, these new foreign steps need tender caretaking and practicing to establish this new beneficial life pattern. I don't know about you, but I had ZERO role models for starting the day out positively. In my childhood home it was more a contest of who could scowl the loudest every morning. I understand how long it takes to build this new habit that is so worth it! I'm so glad I stuck with it because it's positively changed my life for the better. 


So, please, be kind to your self as you teach your self this new way of living and being. Each time you begin again is a win. Celebrate every. single. step as a win!! Studies show that it takes an average of 66 days to build and establish a new habit. So be patient with growing your happy soul. You CAN create this new positive vibing  morning and you WILL absolutely benefit from doing so and so will everyone around you.

Move Your Body to Reset the Day

So what if your positive intentions didn't work today. No big deal. Today is only one day and you can always try again. But sometimes the last thing we want to do when we're in a negative mood or feeling down is to try or do anything like move our bodies. Curling up in a ball on the couch or in bed is so much more satisfying and comfortin

So what if your positive intentions didn't work today. No big deal. Today is only one day and you can always try again. But sometimes the last thing we want to do when we're in a negative mood or feeling down is to try or do anything like move our bodies. Curling up in a ball on the couch or in bed is so much more satisfying and comforting. But the fact is that there's some stuck, wunky energy in your body that's magnifying how low you feel. Holding still not only prolongs how bad you feel, but it increases the duration of how long you'll hold on to this low vibe energy. We don't want to keep this, right? We want to feel better and get our day going. 


We need to let that low vibe go.


We're best served to get up off that comfy furniture, break the magnetic hold it has over us, and consciously choose to move our bodies until our bodies feel lighter, better, more energized. IT CAN HAPPEN. Fun fact: we need to use energy to get more energy. So even when we feel like we have no energy, the fact is that when we begin moving with intention, we start to make energy. Baby steps literally will take us further in feeling better than staying still. The idea is you want to feel better, so you need to actually do something to make that happen. Take the action step. 


Going for a short walk outside is the easiest way to shift your energy to restart your day and makes all the difference when we breathe in fresh air and notice our surroundings. We can't help but feel better after walking and for an added bonus, we 'll sleep better at night on days we go for a walk. Proactively planning to start your day with good energy is an excellent cup filling technique that almost guarantees a better start to the day. Try it and see!


Moving our body doing simple, gentle yoga poses is also a great way to unlock stuck low vibe energy from all the corners and crevices of our body vessel. Just doing basic poses and pairing our breath with our movement increases our energy, lowers our adrenalin, reduces our stress level, and increases our feel-good chemicals in our body. We mindfully and intentionally change our focus away from feeling all that low vibe energy and focus instead on connecting with our soul that knows this is value added. In yoga, we come into our body and get out of our monkey mind when we focus on how our body feels in each pose. We get reminded of who we really are, beyond the story our ego wants to keep playing on the broken record we keep listening to.

THE POWER OF WATER

Never underestimate the power of water. 


Water heals our spirit, clears our negative energy, shifts our heavy moods, and washes away our sorrows. Get into the water.


When we get into the healing waters of tubs, showers, rivers, lakes, and oceans, we submerge our selves into the flow of the same waters our closed Earth system has contained since the very beginning. 


The water life cycle loop came from skies that poured down rain, created waterways that felt the warming sun to heat the waters to evaporate into clouds that filled with raindrops that filled our waterways and around and around it has always gone. 


These same waters that we now use once filled Rumi's fountain, were there for Gandhi to bathe in, carried Mary Magdalene's boat without sails, and supported Jesus as he walked upon the sea. 


Get into the water.


These historic waters are filled with the lives and energy of us all who have lived upon this earth. 


The depths of these waters mirror our own inner depths and emotions, our capacity to feel, our capacity to love and to heal. 


The waters hold the potential of new life, the flow of creation, the gift of the baptism of a new day. 


If your day is not going well, get your self into the water.


It doesn't matter how many times a day you get into the water and no one is keeping score. 


Let the water clear what feels heavy, let every tear come out of your body that's been stored all the way down to your toes. Cry until you're done crying and then ask if you need to cry some more. 


When we return to the water, we return to the original energetic Source love we were bathed by in the womb where we started our journey. 


Get into the water.


We can allow our selves the healing love that is the gift the water gives to us when we consciously choose to release into the water and back to Source everything that no longer serves us to clear the way for all the GOOD that we can integrate to fill those cleared out spaces.  


Mindfully. Intentionally. We thank water for its vital life force energy, healing grace, and support it has always given us to restore, resurrect, and revitalize our selves on our pathway forward.
